Psalm 22 = Christ

"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"

"Eloi, Eloi, lama Sabachthani?"

These words are said by Jesus in Matthew 27:46 and also Mark 15:34 while He was on that cross taking the wrath we deserved. Interestingly enough, what Jesus was doing was quoting from Psalm 22, which if you read Psalm 22  it is a perfect picture of our LORD and Savior, it is prophetic to use the correct term. 

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?

Why are you so far from helping Me, and from the words

of My groaning? O My God, I cry in the daytime,

but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am

not silent.

But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.

Our fathers trusted in You; They trusted, and You

delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered;

They trusted in You, and were not ashamed.

But I am a worm, and no man; A reproach of men, and

despised by the people. All those who see Me ridicule

Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

"He trusted in the LORD, let Him rescuer Him;

Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!"

But You are He who took Me out of the womb;

You made Me trust while on My mother's breasts.

I was cast upon You from birth. From My mother's womb

You have been my God. Be not far from Me,

For trouble is near; For there is none to help.

Many bulls have surrounded Me; Strong bulls of 

Ba'shan have encircled Me. They gape at Me with their 

mouths, Like a raging and roaring lion.

I am poured out like water, And all My bones are out of

joint; My heart is like wax; it has melted within Me.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And My tongue

clings to my jaws; You have brought Me to the

dust of death.

For dogs have surrounded Me; The congregation of the

wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and

My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare

at Me. They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.

But You, O LORD, do not be far from Me; O My strength, hasten to help Me! Deliver Me from the sword,

My precious life from the power of the dog. Save Me

from the lion's mouth and from the horns of the wild oxen!

You have answered Me.

I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of

the assembly I will praise You. You who fear the LORD,

praise Him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him,

and fear Him, all you offspring of Israel! For He has not

despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted;

Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried

to Him, He heard.

My praise  shall be of You in the great assembly;

I will pay My vows before those who fear Him.

The poor shall eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him

will praise the LORD. Let your heart live forever!

All the ends of the world Shall remember and turn to the 

LORD, and all the families of the nations Shall worship before You. For the kingdom is the LORD'S, and

He rules over the nations.

All the prosperous of the earth Shall eat and worship;

All those who go down to the dust Shall bow before Him,

Even he who cannot keep himself alive.

A posterity shall serve Him, it will be recounted of the LORD to the next generation, They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born,

that He has done this.

Psalm 22:1-31

Psalm 22 correlates with Christ, how anyone can read Psalm 22 and think otherwise is beyond me. From it speaking about Jesus and His Jewishness in the form of man in verses 4 and 5, (because He is speaking about His forefathers  trusting in God). To the verses talking about Him being persecuted and ridiculed in verses 6 through 8 exactly like He was while on the cross.

(Matthew 27:43)

And My tongue clings to My jaws;

You have brought Me to the dust of death.

Psalm 22:15

In John 19:28 Jesus said "I thirst" which correlates with Psalm 22:15 "And My tongue clings to My jaws".

And then you also have "You(Meaning God) have brought Me(Jesus Christ) to the dust of death"

We know Christ's whole purpose was to suffer the wrath

to take the cup of wrath that we should have drank.

He came to die, simple as that, it was all part of God's plan, and Isaiah 53:10 says "it pleased the LORD to bruise Him".

Then you have verses 16 through 18 of psalm 22…

For dogs have surrounded Me; 

The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. 

They pierced My hands and My feet;

 I can count all My bones. 

They look and stare at Me. 

They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.

Psalm 22:16-18

LORD we praise you, we honor you with the price that was paid. We know that there is nothing we can do to pay it ourselves, we know that we were bought and we now belong to you in Christ's name, bought in His holy pure blood. Father we recognize your abhorrence of sin, and praise you for cleansing us and making us what we were always called to be, and thats Holy.

Help us to walk in the light as you are in the light, to surrender all pride and selfishness, to pick up our own crosses and crucify this flesh daily. Only in You do we boast Jesus,Son of God, King of Kings, God in the flesh Holy un blemished lamb who became punishment for our wickedness.

All Glory to Him! 

Least of these

Yes many are: liars, thieves, fornicators, druggies and alcoholics and they deserve to be where they're at.

But God, if we all got what we deserved

we would be facing your wrath.

I'm a king on a throne with a castle I call home

They sleep underneath a bridge with cardboard

as padded foam. 

Onward Christian soldier as you ignore

the man begging for a dollar.

Druggie or drunk you tell yourself

so you refuse to help,

rather sit in your church and count your wealth.

Feed the least of these and when you do you feed me,

said Christ.

So how come this is such an oversight?

The homeless person needs Christ

just as much as though's who dress nice.

I'd help... you say; "if I knew he wasn't going to use it

for alcohol or drugs!"

But who died and made you judge?

Maybe you just think it's your christian duty

to use your wealth for yourself, instead of using 

it to buy food for someone asking for help?

After all God wants you rich,

He just must not love that man sleeping in the ditch.

Prosperity has got you blind,

since when was the gospel about getting whats mine?

You give your money to those who can give back to you.

Tithe a percentage that really doesn't effect you,

all so God will bless you.

Rather give your money to wolves in sheep's clothing,

then to a man who has absolutely nothing.

A man struggles with an addiction, drinks himself to sleep because he doesn't think anyone loves him.

There you sit, in your car with a christian fish,

can't stand to look in his direction, all the while

claiming to know all about grace and salvation,

the only solution to penetrate this mans addiction.

But as long as you know Christ…

that's all that matters right?

That drunk doesn't even deserve to eat,

just let him die without seeing mercy

that sounds very Christ-like oh absolutely.

You're forgetting that without God's merciful perpetual plan,

The Son taking the wrath you deserved,

you would be just like this drunk homeless man

only inward.

Your gods NOT real..

The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed

and taken. Behold, they have rejected the

word of the LORD;

So what wisdom do they have?

Jeremiah 8:9

Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah

and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,

'Thus says the LORD: "Behold, I am

fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against

you. Return now every one from his evil way,

and make your ways and your doings good."

And they said, "That is hopeless! So we will walk

according to our own plans, and we will every one

obey the dictates of his evil heart."

Jeremiah 18:11-12

Professing to be wise, they became fools,

and changed the glory of the incorruptible God

into an image made like corruptible man.

Romans 1:22

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Jeremiah and Paul in their time were dealing with

the same kind of general lack of faith and generally

speaking the same kinds of blasphemy that we are

today.

Something to notice about Paul too, He was a REAL

Christ-like Christian(extra focus on REAL). Paul

wasn't a "prosperity tickle the ears" preacher, he

wasn't a lukewarm make God into a humanistic image

fool either. As all REAL Christians(Extra focus on real)

should know when you stand for the Truth that can only

be found in Jesus Christ, you will be hated and you will

be persecuted. You see Paul knew that very well, for one

thing he himself used to be one of the persecutors,

and when Christ changed his heart he indeed felt

what it was like to be persecuted.

What did Paul do when he was persecuted? did

he change his tune? maybe speak differently of Christ?

did he just decide to make God into a fluffy humanistic

image? NO! Paul rejoiced in being persecuted! he

never once substituted the truth and tried to get

people to like him and his message more by preaching

a "Christian lite" message.

Today people claim to be wise, just like in Paul's time

and through out history. The truth of the matter is

without the fear of the LORD there is no wisdom…

just foolishness.

The Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and

the knowledge of the HOly One is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

and just like Romans 1:22 states, people create God

in the image of man, They cant figure Him out.

(His ways are not our ways, so how could we

ever truly figure Him out)

You see, people want to know why this or why that,

and how this and how that, and they get confused

on certain issues or things, and instead of realizing

they are truly small in the grand scheme of things,

instead of surrendering completely to God and asking

Him to open their eyes, they decide it would be better

to rebuke God then to surrender. They rebuke Him

and they blaspheme against Him and then decided

to create God in their own imperfect image.

They don't realize their god is a false god, their god

is not a god of Holiness or justice or wrath or truth,

their god is not the god of the bible and…

their god is not real at all.

Mainstream Christianity is a joke, it's nothing but false teachings and it's all about bettering yourself.

American Christianity doesn't call for repentance or surrendering

yourself to the will of God, it's more about getting God to give you what

you want. I know I keep harping on this but it's all I keep seeing from people,

I think we are in very dangerous times for the Christian faith, because Christianity

as a whole is being raped and destroyed not by the unbelievers but the very

people who claim to be believers. They are leading people down the very wide road

that doesn't lead to God at all, these people think they are saved and will cry

"Lord, Lord..." But He will say "I tell you I do not know you, where you are from.

Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity"(Luke 13:25-27)

Go and watch this video about Glenn Beck's new book, Beck's beliefs are not

new, his beliefs are exactly what a lot of "Christians" believe and are being fed by

their pastors who are nothing but wolves in sheep's clothing. This is exactly the

kind of unChrist like dribble that I saw from Beck and warned about in his Rally

of last year. It's universalism...It's all roads lead to God and "Christians" are eating

this crap up, don't believe me? look at the book sales for "The Shack" claimed

to be a Christian book, but is nothing of the sort! watch the sales for Rob Bells

new book that he is coming out with, I'm sure Christians will eat that mindless

dribble up to! because it is a Christian-lite message of no Hell...no repentance,

and all roads lead to God, thats not what Christ preached and died for at all!

this is heresy and mainstream Christians are loving it...

Walk by Faith

For we walk by Faith, not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7

FAITH= Full Assurance In The Heart...

Full Assurance that it is by grace that we are saved,

Full Assurance that our Lord and savior lives..

Full Assurance that there is one God, the GOD

Holy eternal Father one with the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ.

Full Assurance that all things are possible through HIM,

that we are filled with the Holy spirit!

We live by Faith, not by things that are seen..

we live with a child like faith! to realize we don't

have to know every little detail, things we may not understand

or can't explain we seek for an explanation from God.

Even when an explanation can not be given we

don't let the question and things we don't understand

weigh us down, for we know there is a reason for everything,

nothing happens that God doesn't know about.

We live by faith, and we trust and continue forward in

our walk with Christ in any and every situation.

Our love for Christ is not proven when everything is going

just right, but our Love for Christ is proven when everything

is going all wrong. You can scream and shout "I'm a Christian"

but what do you look to, what do you scream when everything

around you crumbles? because being a Christian isn't about

being perfect, it isn't about never going through pain or struggles,

It's just the realization of that when we are going through pain

and struggles there is a bigger picture, that when things come

our way to bring us down, we should look at it as an opportunity

to RISE UP! to PROVE OUR FAITH! to put our trust in GOD, and in

God alone!

What about when we don't hear his voice? what about when

we are struggling and we pray and pray for direction but yet

no direction ever seems to come. WE CONTINUE TO

WALK BY FAITH! Do you have to hear from God before you move?

read his word, and you will know how you are suppose to live,

don't wait on him to tell you how to. Don't get it twisted,

God inspires us and at times we hear that still small voice

(God through the holy spirit) giving us direction, but when he is

silent do we give up? do we become so consumed with trying to

hear from God that we all together stop living? we stop seeking

to be that strong example we are suppose to be? the point I'm

trying to get at is this...

Do we have to be inspired by God to move?

do we have to see or hear something from God

to reach out? Or do we just live and continue

to walk BY FAITH

Again don't get it twisted, I'm not saying forget about

hearing from God. I'm not even saying don't seek

to hear from him, what I'm saying is live according

to the word....live for him always and have faith

larger then a mustard seed. Continue moving

forward and being that strong witness when

everything is going wrong and when you are not

hearing from God.

}-{ For a time we are conscious of God's attentions,

then, when God begins to use us in His enterprises,

we take on a pathetic look and talk of the trials and

the difficulties, and all the time God is trying to make us

do our duty as obscure people. None of us would be

obscure spiritually if we could help it. Can we do

our duty when God has shut up heaven? Some of us

always want to be illuminated saints with golden haloes

and the flush of inspiration, and to have the saints of God

dealing with us all the time. A gilt-edged saint is no good,

he is abnormal, unfit for daily life, and altogether unlike God.

We are here as men and women, not as half-fledged angels,

to do the work of the world, and to do it with and infinitely

greater power to stand the turmoil because we have been

born from above.

If we try to reintroduce the rare moments of inspiration,

it is a sign that it is not God we want. We are making a

fetish of the moments when God did come and speak,

and insisting that He must do it again; whereas what God

wants us to do is to "Walk by Faith." How many of us have

laid ourselves by, as it were, and said-"I cannot do any more

until God appears to me." He never will, and without any

inspiration, without any sudden touch of God, we will

have to get up. Then comes the surprise- " Why, he was

there all the time, and I never knew it!"

Never live for the rare moments, they are surprises. God

will give us touches of inspiration when He sees

we are not in danger of being led away by them.

We must never make our moments of inspiration

our standard; our standard is our duty. }-{

I'm sure everyone, including those who don't read

the bible, has heard

"Money is the root of all evil"

which comes from 1 Timothy chapter 6.

Now I don't ever really talk about money

in my blogs or on my website,

but what I talk about isn't important per say.

What is important is Gods word, and what

he has to say about money, and money

is mentioned more then a few times

in the bible.

I've mentioned giving and what not,

and probably Matthew 6:21 and Matthew 6:24

"For where your treasure is, there your

heart will be also."

"No one can serve two masters.

Either he will hate one and love

the other, or he will be devoted

to the one and despise the other.

You cannot serve both God and money."

Thats kind of a given right?

I mean you can't put money first,

you can't make it your whole life

and just throw God in on occasion.

The truth is you can't put anything above God,

as i've said before, because whatever you put first

is essentially your god(your idol).

"A faithful man will be richly blessed,

but one eager to get rich will not go

unpunished."

Proverbs 28:20

The fact of the matter is money shouldn't be a worry,

getting rich not a priority. God wants you to be happy,

and he will always provide for you if you

just have F.A.I.T.H. Sure, easier said then done..right?

specially in this day and age, and right now with the whole

"economy thing" where we are told to do nothing but

worry. Isn't the creator of all things more important

then a piece of paper? Not to mention he created

this whole universe correct? and everything in it?

and you are worried about money?

worried about if he will provide enough for you?

and let us remember what Jesus said to the rich man

"How hard it is for the rich to enter

the kingdom of heaven"

Mark 10:23

For the rich man was asking how

he can inherit eternal life,

and Jesus told him you know the commandments,

and the man replied that he has kept them

since he was a boy. Jesus then said

the man lacked one thing, and he told him

to go sell everything he has and give it to the poor,

and the man went away sad.

Is Jesus saying everyone has to

live in rags and have no money,

give all we have away? No...

the point was Jesus knew the man

was putting money before God,

and he proved it when he asked the man

to give up everything, and he didn't want to.

I think we all should think about that,

would we be willing to give up all we have

to follow Jesus Christ? and ask yourself that

question, and reply seriously, for sure it would be

easy to say "Hell YES!" but saying and doing are

two different things are they not?

I'd struggle at first to be honest, if one day

I woke up and the roof over my head was gone,

and I had nothing but the clothes on my back,

but I know I'd come around and put my life

in His hands knowing full well he doesn't want

me to suffer and he will provide my true needs.

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not

agree to the sound instruction of our Lord

Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,

he is conceited and understand nothing.

He has an unhealthy interest in controversies

and quarrels about words that result in envy,

strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction

between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed

of the truth and who think that godliness is a means

to financial gain.

1 Timothy 6:3-5

Something that gets under my skin, is

people that use God for a profit.

"I'll heal you....just give me money"

and the ever so popular

"Do what God says and follow his word, so

he will bless you with riches"

I don't seek God to get "blessings"...

God is not a get rich quick scheme,

and don't get it twisted...I'm not saying

God won't look out for his flock, that

he wont provide for us.

I'm saying if you are only seeking God

because what you really want is money and "blessings"

then you are a fool, yes YOU ARE A FOOL.

First of all, God judges the heart,

so it's not like he can't see what you

really want, and once again

deep down you are putting money above God,

and hence you are breaking the number one commandment...

"Do not worship any other god"

but lets continue with 1 Timothy chapter 6

before I go off into a rant about false teachers.

But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into the world,

and we can take nothing out of it. But

if we have food and clothing, we will be

content with that. People who want to get rich

fall into temptation and a trap and into many

foolish and harmful desires that plunge men

into ruin and destruction. For the love of money

is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people,

eager for money, have wandered from the faith

and pierced themselves with many griefs.

But you, man of God, flee from all this,

and pursue righteousness, godliness,

faith,love, endurance and gentleness. Fight

the good fight of the faith.

1 Timothy 6:6-12

For we brought nothing into the world,

and we can take nothing out of it.

That says it all right there, those who have

there eyes on money and being rich...

better enjoy this short life while they can,

because the next will be far from enjoyable.
