It's Enough

Will my mouth declare your praise, when the salt starts to lose it's taste..
Will my heart be contrite, when I'm standing in Your light..
If pride didn't come before a fall, would I even seek you at all?

How can I forget, it's not about how I walk
but what you've done to cause me to
How can I think it's by these hands that I've been given rest
when all I do is fall on my knees in forgiveness.

I'm sorry it took this long to see, how far I am from who you want me to be
In the distance are the mistakes I've made, in Your forgiveness I'm saved
pardoned and redeemed by a grace that's finished and complete.

How can I forget, it's not about how I walk
but what you've done to cause me to
How can I think it's by these hands that I've been given rest
when all I do is fall on my knees in forgiveness.

I wake from a sleep of being broken, blessed to be forgiven
In silent confession I find, that I was walking blind
May I hold to what you love, and know it's enough...

Do..YOU..Love God?

Quick question for you, Do you LOVE God?

Now for those who are brothers in sisters in Christ,

I'm sure you are thinking "Sure do!", even unbelievers

might even say "Sure, why not". This might, at first glance,

seem like an easy question, HOWEVER, if this question

is so easy and if every self professing brother and sister in

Christ would answer "Yes, I sure do" without hesitation,

Then why may I ask do we not ACT like it?

Maybe we don't know what LOVE really is? Just maybe

we have a inadequate view of the meaning of LOVE?

Perhaps we have a "World View" of what love is.

Now if we want to know what true Love is, the easiest place to look

is Jesus Christ. John 15:13 says:

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's

life for his friends."

Jesus Christ took the wrath we deserved, loving what didn't deserve to be loved, forgiving what didn't deserved to be forgiven.

I think this is, as it says, a stumbling block for most…because you see a lot of us don't think we are underserving,( some of us do

and that also can create a problem of not accepting what Christ's

has done. ) A lot of people treat God as if

He has some obligation to love us, as if He had to forgive our sins.

So they miss the big picture, and they don't see how evil they are,

and they don't truly see God's LOVE because they just blow it off

like He is required to.

We tend to look at love like "What's in it for us" but that's not love at all. Love is a surrendering of SELF, of doing something

for someone else not out of requirement or to GET something in

return. I'm going to type that out again:

Love…IS…NOT doing something for someone else out of requirement! Are we not saved by THE GRACE of God?

God didn't have to create the human race…wasn't required too..

God didn't have to forgive our WICKEDNESS…wasn't required too

But God did create the human race and He did forgive our sins!

AMEN! glory be to Him alone!

Now this brings me to this overall point, Why don't

we LIVE and Act like we LOVE God? sin is conquered,

let it go MOVE FORWARD in Christ! Jesus says in John

14:15

"If you love me, keep My commandments."

Then why is it many claim to Love Christ, but yet not want to listen

to what He said? I'm not talking about works, I'm not talking about people falling in sin as it will always(while on earth) be

something we have to continually make war against, DAILY

we have to Die to our Flesh! Many say they love Christ,

but refuse to die daily! many say they love Christ and say

they have no need for His commandments or at least they act

like they don't need to be changed by Him.

The fact of the matter is, if you TRULY and honestly LOVE Christ

then you will surrender yourself. AND AGAIN Love is not doing something out of requirement, if you love Christ you wouldn't want to do anything else but FOLLOW and hang on His every word.

"For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to

silence the ignorance of foolish men- as free, yet not

using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God."

1 Peter 2:15-16

This my brothers and sisters goes hand in hand! We see Gods

grace His overwhelming mercy and forgiveness and how we

are free from sin,(NOT Free to sin…Free FROM sin)

but we don't take our freedom lightly…

we know how evil we are without Christ and we know the price!

we don't use our freedom as a means to sin MORE..NO!

we see our freedom and we hold it tightly we see our forgiveness

and we see how undeserving we are of it, we see Gods power and love and we surrender as servants looking for Him to work through

US! looking to please God and follow His commands not for

our Glory…but HIS GLORY the only place Glory can be placed!

Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

The ungodly [are] not so, But [are] like the chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,

But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Psalms 1:1-6

I want to share something with you, ready? I'm not the best

example of a follower of Christ, each day I must remember

to die to this selfish-flesh of mine. I seek to be that shinning light,

not for my glory but Gods, and I know He needs to shine through

me, it's not me working for God and me taking credit, it's

God working through me and giving Him all glory for it.

There's no good in me, I can't create good, I can't save myself..

if I rely on me i'll only disappoint. God's love is amazing the more we realize how undeserving we are of it, His love should bring us to the point of surrender, it should bring peace and faithfulness.

Sometimes we lose sight of what's important, and we claim

we love God but our actions say otherwise…we must

be convicted of our weakness and we must give it to GOD,

because only He can bring the change needed.

What we can not do is get to a point where we think change

can not come, that the new creation that we are suppose to be

can not come. We can't say we love God and then live a life

of blatant contradiction. It's like saying you love your wife

but then you continue to sleep with someone else on the side.

Listen, I know we all struggle in certain areas of our walk,

and we fall down BUT

1. we can't stay down

2. we can't expect to change if we rely on ourselves to

do the changing.

Here's the overall point i'm getting at; We will be tempted,

but it's what we do in times of temptation that matter.

If you think that you can stay strong, if you think that you

can ever change you, then you are going to end up in a never

ending cycle of failing yourself. The only way you will ever change

is through Jesus Christ, giving up and surrendering to Him

is the only way change can come. Are all things possible with God?

Then look to Him not yourself! the only thing possible with you is

FAILURE

Be thankful that God doesn't give up on you, that you are

indeed forgiven and through HIM you can be remade new.

If we love God, then we must surrender to Him, we must

repent and ask Him to bring the change we can't bring ourselves..

the more you try to save you with your own power the more

you will fail.

This doesn't mean a life of surrendering to our sinfulness,

This is about living like we truly love God and surrendering

to Him to save us from ourselves, it's the only way we can be saved.

Don't say "Oh well, this is who I am…I'm a sinner..I cant change

who I am" that's actually true, but that should drive

you to Christ not into stagnation.

I write this to all those who read, but not just to you, but to myself…

for I know I am no better and need to place all hope for change

in Christ not myself, and I need this change of living a life of sin

to living a life of Holiness. I need to surrender who I am, surrender

this body and let the Holy spirit guide and work through me…

there is no other way.

I pray God would work in you, reveal Himself and renew you..

that when temptations come whatever it may be that you

would run from temptations to Christ and rest in His Holiness.

That He wold bring the change that needs to come,

Ezekiel 36:27 says:

"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them."

This is what I ask for, and this is what God can and WILL do!

take our lusts our pride our selfishness our hard hearts and

change them to do YOUR will oh God! too walk in your statutes..

to love you as we claim we do! We don't need to defend

ourselves or attack others back who physically or verbally assault

us, you will vindicate us LORD, our strength lies not in our flesh

but in you God!

1 Peter 2:19-21 says;

"For this [is] commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

For what credit [is it] if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this [is] commendable before God.

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

Amen..

Repent or Perish

In Him we have . . . the forgiveness of sins . . .

Beware of the pleasant view of the fatherhood of God: God is so kind and loving that of course He will forgive us. That thought, based solely on emotion, cannot be found anywhere in the New Testament. The only basis on which God can forgive us is the tremendous tragedy of the Cross of Christ. To base our forgiveness on any other ground is unconscious blasphemy. The only ground on which God can forgive our sin and reinstate us to His favor is through the Cross of Christ. There is no other way! Forgiveness, which is so easy for us to accept, cost the agony at Calvary. We should never take the forgiveness of sin, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and our sanctification in simple faith, and then forget the enormous cost to God that made all of this ours.-(My Utmost For His Highest Nov.20th)

Your Salvation does not come free. God does not just simply forgive, God is just and He is Holy, God doesn't merely forgive you because He is love. God isn't a big hippy in the sky
who is required to forgive you because all he knows is "love".

You can not earn salvation and Gods love, you are fallen
fallible man, you are horrible, you are wicked and the only
thing you deserve is GODS righteous just wrath, the only
thing you deserve is eternal punishment. Your salvation is
NOT FREE! the wrath and anger of our just God was poured
out onto God in the flesh Christ Jesus, only through the sacrificial lamb are you forgiven. It is only free in the sense
that you did nothing to deserve or earn such forgiveness,
and there is nothing you can do.

Christ was sacrificed, He accepted the cup, accepted the Fathers will.

"O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me;
nevertheless, not as I will, but as YOU will."
Matthew 26:39

He took the wrath of God that you deserve, paid the price
so you could be made clean. otherwise God couldn't even
look upon you.. because you're filthy and sinful in His eyes.
You can not humanize God, you can't put him in a little box
and make Him who you want Him to be,
You can't simply ignore that God is not just love,
He is also a God of wrath and isn't oblivious to open rebellion. You can't say God will just simply forgive me
because He loves me, there was nothing simple and easy
with Christ shedding His blood for you on the cross.

I have finished the work which You
have given Me to do —John 17:4

The death of Jesus Christ is the fulfillment in history of the very mind and intent of God. There is no place for seeing Jesus Christ as a martyr. His death was not something that happened to Him— something that might have been prevented. His death was the very reason He came.
Never build your case for forgiveness on the idea that God is our Father and He will forgive us because He loves us. That contradicts the revealed truth of God in Jesus Christ. It makes the Cross unnecessary, and the redemption “much ado about nothing.” God forgives sin only because of the death of Christ. God could forgive people in no other way than by the death of His Son, and Jesus is exalted as Savior because of His death. “We see Jesus . . . for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor . . .” (Hebrews 2:9). The greatest note of triumph ever sounded in the ears of a startled universe was that sounded on the Cross of Christ— “It is finished!” (John 19:30). That is the final word in the redemption of humankind.
Anything that lessens or completely obliterates the holiness of God, through a false view of His love, contradicts the truth of God as revealed by Jesus Christ. Never allow yourself to believe that Jesus Christ stands with us, and against God, out of pity and compassion, or that He became a curse for us out of sympathy for us. Jesus Christ became a curse for us by divine decree. Our part in realizing the tremendous meaning of His curse is the conviction of sin. Conviction is given to us as a gift of shame and repentance; it is the great mercy of God. Jesus Christ hates the sin in people, and Calvary is the measure of His hatred.
(My Utmost For His Highest Nov.21st)

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins

What is Love II

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

I'm sure you have "heard" me say
Christians get the label of "hypocrites"
and most of the time it's rightfully so..
simply because we don't have any love for one another.
I don't mean we don't love each-other as "Christians"
I'm saying we don't love others in general,
specially if they are not in our little "Cliques"
People are so quick to throw out "I'm a Christian"
but do they ever think of the responsibilities that employ's ?
Now before you get all..
"Well I'm not perfect...and jesus died for my sins.."
Blah blah blah
hear me out...I'm not trying to judge or
say you are going to burn in the fires of hell,
because we all have our moments of not loving
when we should be loving.
However maybe if you think about what I'm saying..
it may pop in your head for a reference point when you're thinking
about being hateful..

Back to my point..
Do you really understand what it means to be a Christian?
to utter those words? you do realize people look at you right?
people will watch to see what you do since you say you're a "Christian"
again comes the point of being that good example right?
As a "Christian" we are suppose to be of love..
to show that love to any and everyone..
because just as it says in John 13:34
People will know that you are a follower of Jesus Christ,
not by you running around screaming "I'm a Christian!"
no...by you showing love is how they will know.
Showing the love that Jesus showed us all..
If we don't show that love, if we don't forgive others
as Jesus forgave us of our sins...
then do you think we really deserve to be forgiven?
I'm pretty sure it's Matthew that says
forgive as you were forgiven.
Again we are not perfect, we are human after all..
but we can be humble and admit to our mistakes and flaws,
and at the same time try and improve our attitudes
towards others.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels,
but have not love, I am only a resounding gong
or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy
and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,
and if I have faith that can move mountains,
but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all
I posses to the poor and surrender my body
to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
                                1 Corinthians 12:30

You can quote scriptures, you can know the way..
but if you don't have, and you don't show love..
you have somehow missed the most important thing,
As the scripture says you are nothing...
We must try harder to show the most important commandment of all..
This world isn't all there is..there is so much more
don't waste your time with always having to be "right"
or always having to get the last word,
when we are made fun of/put down/laughed at
if we hold our composure and show love in such a trying time
then and only then are we ever deserving to be called "Christian".

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

1 John 4:7-21

I'm not claiming I'm always full of love,
but God help me I try to be..
I want to be that good example, and I don't want to make God look bad.
There's a lot of pressure on you, or at least there should be,
for when someone knows your a Christian to act like it.
If they look at you and see the world, if they look at you
and you have a bad attitude, and they see your reaction to things..
what is going to make them want what you have?
We are here on this earth to be a witness to stand up for God...
to be different, to be that helping hand, if we treat everyone
the same as the world treats them how are they going to see a difference?
I know this is a total cliche thing to say...
but each day we should strive to be better then we were yesterday,
not for salvation, not because we have to...
but because we want to show the love of Christ.

If you know the hope there is in Jesus Christ..
If you know his never ending..never changing love..
then rejoice! because there is plenty of people who don't!
If you don't know his love...if you can't comprehend it...
If you think he could never love you..
I swear to you he already does love you!
He doesn't care what you have done, how many mistakes..
he sees your struggles, he knows you want to change..
focus on him...look to him and he will guide you
ask him to take away the things you wish not to do,
ask him to change you and make you new.
he wants a relationship with you!
He doesn't want your works...
he just wants you to acknowledge him...
He wants to be the one to lift every burden worry and stress,
He wants to be the one to take you out of the mess you are in...
out of the confusion and hopelessness the abuse
out of this world because you are not of this world!
You are not a burden..
He LOVES YOU!
Yes...
YOU!
not that self created good person you see in the mirror
YOU!
Full of sin.. burden down by the world around you..
shooting up to just feel again..
HE LOVES YOU!
