To Judge or not to Judge?(Wake up call 1)

Last week I talked about Christians still being "on the bottle"

then I pointed out Matthew 7:1 and "Judgment".

"Judge not, that you be not judged.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged;

and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you."

I thought I should clarify on that...this week.

Does "Do not Judge" mean we don't stand up for what's right?

Does "Do not Judge" mean we ignore blasphemy?

Absolutely not! and what is right? what we think?

NO! what we KNOW through the word of GOD!

THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT!

First of all if you just quote "Judge not, that you be not judged" aka

"do not judge" your pulling scripture out of context. Jesus wasn't

saying never judge, because doesn't Jesus say to

"Judge between those who produce good fruit and bad fruit?"

In John Jesus even says

"Do not judge according to appearance, but Judge with

righteous judgment."

John 7:24

Is Jesus contradicting himself? Of course not! You can't

take the one verse in Matthew 7:1

"Judge not,less ye be judged"

You can't take that to mean that you don't call a spade a spade,

you can't take it to mean that you don't call a brother/sister out

when they are going against the word of God. You have to read

more into Matthew 7 to get the point of what Jesus was talking about,

and he was talking about hypocrites! He was talking about, for example

a person who commits murder then goes up to a murder and

says "Thou shall not murder"

I'll even go so far as to say he was talking about those who judge in "hate"

and to those who judge out of selfishness or out of some kind

of "superiority complex". You see when I was

talking about baby Christians that are judging, I was mostly

referring to the Christians who put themselves on pedestals.

First of all, we are all immoral wicked sinners, we our selves have

no right to judge, because we are no better then anyone else.

We know what is right and what is wrong, not because we are smarter

then a non-christians but because when we gave our lives to Christ,

through the Holy spirit His word became reality, our eyes were opened

and through the Holy spirit we can now distinguish between

Right and Wrong.

The thing is though, you are not called to judge out of hate,

because as Christians we are called to love, and again

we ourselves are not suppose to judge. Try to follow me here,

In John Jesus says to what? Judge with righteous Judgement...

right?

What does that mean? Am I righteous? no...how do I judge with Righteous

Judgement then? You see this is the problem Christians are faced with,

We like to compare ourselves with other people. The fact is we are not

suppose to Judge on what we think is right or on our "morals/ standards"

but on GODS morals and standards which are in His word.

We don't judge to condemn or to look down upon another

person, thats not righteous judgement. Righteous Judgement is

judging out of consideration out of love for someone else,

it's telling that person that they are in the wrong not because

you think so, but because GOD's word says so, and because

you want them to be at peace because you will never find peace

outside of Gods word/outside of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

This isn't very easy to explain, I hope I am making sense.

I've been around a lot of "Christians" who spew hate rather then love,

they judge others and pick at each-others flaws to make themselves

look more righteous then the other person. We are called to

be that shining light to be full of the Holy Spirit, to tell it like it is.

To tell it like it is by our standards? NO... we don't live a life

of "leaning on our own understanding" You live to lean on God

and what HIS standards are...period.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your

own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,

and He shall direct your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and

depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh,

And strength to your bones"

Proverbs 3:5-8
