† Love the sinner...not the sin †

I know some people that read 'signs of the times v'
and read towards the end where I said Jesus came for the sinner,
specifically I said... He came for the Druggie,Alcoholic, prostitutes ect...
I know some people were like..

"Uh...so Jesus loves druggies and prostitutes?"

To put it simply YES, He loves everyone,
no matter what you have done. Now obviously he doesn't love
the sin, He wants you to acknowledge that you are a sinner,
He wants you to surrender to Him. Jesus wants you to realize
that only through him can you be saved from your sins,
He wants you to realize that what you are doing is wrong, and if
you just walk with him and ask him for help
He will come into your life, and He will change you.
The keywords there would be "HE WILL CHANGE YOU" not
"YOU WILL CHANGE YOU" The whole point I was trying to make
is Jesus didn't come for those who believe
through works they are saved,He didn't come for those who,
In their own minds, believed they were already saved because
they were "Good people" or because
"they strictly followed the man made rules of the church"
as it is said in Matthew..

"I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering
the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you
the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but
the tax collectors and prostitutes did."

Matthew 21:31

Jesus was talking to the pharisees, the chief priests and elders.
For they judge instead of love, and refused to believe that it's
not by works or man made laws one enters the kingdom of God.
It is by faith, and surrendering of ones self to Jesus Christ, It is by
being reborn that one enters the kingdom of God. For Jesus died,
he shed his blood knowing full well that we couldn't save ourselves,
We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God(Romans 3:23)
We couldn't follow the law that was given to us, the old testament
is proof enough of that. It is why God said
he would make a new covenant, and that was fulfilled through Jesus Christ.
Need more proof jesus came for the sinner?
more proof that he loves everyone no matter what they were?

Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him,
So jesus went. Now when a woman who had lived a sinful life
in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisees house,
she brought an alabaster jar of perfume,
and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began
to wet his feet with her tears.
Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and
poured perfume on them.

When the Pharisee saw this, he said to himself,

"If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him
and what kind of woman she is- that she is a sinner"

Jesus answered him,
"Simon, I have something to tell you."
"Tell me, teacher," he said.

"Two men owed money to a certain moneylender.
One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
Neither of them had the money to pay
him back, so he canceled the debts of both.
Now which of them love him more?"

"I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled" Simon said

"You have judged correctly"
Then Jesus turned toward the woman and said to Simon,

"Do you see this woman? I came into your house.
You did not give me any water for my feet,
but she wet my feet with her tears
and wiped them with her hair.
You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered,
has not stopped kissing my feet.
You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume
on my feet. Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven-
for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little... loves little."

Then jesus said to her
"Your sins are forgiven"

This woman was forgiven, not for anything she had done per say,
but for simply just loving Jesus.
She gave up her old ways and was saved
because she had faith in Jesus Christ.
This should fill us with joy, it should give us hope!
for we don't deserve to be forgiven...but we are.
I've heard several times preachers comparing this love
to a parents love,If you have a child,
you know there is nothing they can do to make you
turn away from them, to not forgive them and love them.
Of course some of us don't have children,
and some of us don't know that kind of love from a parent.
I want you to know, and I know it sounds unbelievable..
but there truly is an everlasting love, God does love you
no matter what you have done!
There is nothing he wouldn't forgive you for...
all he wants in return is for you to love him back
to surrender yourself to Him.
He will take away those addictions you may have
or that sin you wish you could just stop, all you got to do is ask.
still need more proof? maybe your saying..

"Ok fine...maybe God will forgive someone
addicted to drugs or alcohol
or a sexually immoral person but I've done far worse then that."

Really? ever heard of Paul aka Saul? no? didn't think so.
Now Paul wrote a lot of the New Testament,
so you would think..man this guy must have been so righteous,
he must have never sinned..right? wrong..before Paul became a believer
in Jesus Christ he was a Pharisee known as "Saul".
He persecuted the followers of Jesus, Paul gave approval
of the stoning of Christians, he watched in approval of the stoning
of Stephen. Stephen had the courage to stand up in front of the high priests,
surrounded by Pharisees he spoke of the truth(Acts chapter 7) and
they stoned him to death...

And Saul was there, giving approval to his death.
Acts 8:1

We can easily see Saul had no love for Christ in fact he hated this so called
"messiah" and his followers. However from his life of killing Christians he
was forgiven...

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats
against the Lords disciples. He went to the high priest
and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus,
so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way,
whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to
Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey,
suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him,

"Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

"Who are you,Lord?" Saul asked.

"I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.
"Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do"

Saul is blinded for 3 days, and men traveling with Saul have to lead him
into Damascus. In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias
who the Lord spoke to...

"Go to the house of Judas on straight street
and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
In a vision he has seen a man named
Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."

Now imagine being in Ananias's shoes or sandals as it were.
Ananias has heard of Saul, and he knows what he has done
to followers of Christ, so he says..

"Umm are you sure Lord? I mean..I have heard of this man Saul,
and all the harm he has done to your saints. He's
come here to arrest your followers Lord!"

what does God say? "O' yes thats right thanks for reminding me Ananias?"
no...of course God knew what Saul has done in his life, the Lord said..

"Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the gentiles!"
Acts 9:1-16

God used Saul/Paul for his glory,
he was known through the middle east
as the man who once persecuted the Christ but now follows him.
By Paul becoming a believer in Christ,
the Lord knew he could reach out to people
that the other disciples could not. Today in the middle east
according to Joel C Rosenberg, someone who knows what he's talking about,
Millions of muslims are coming to Christ,
and who do they look at the most who's testimony
from the bible do they admire the most? Paul...
and a lot of them just like Paul are hearing from Christ himself.
I'm sure quite a few can also relate to Paul,
like for example a man named Tass Saada a former
muslim PLO sniper who hated Jews and Christians
a like, and obviously was a man who killed in the name of Allah.
He and his wife are now leading humanitarians in Gaza,
and of course followers of Jesus Christ.
Saada is a man who can reach out to millions
of Muslims who have killed and persecuted Jews,
and are struggling with that fact.
Saada is a man who can reach out to just Muslims in general,
and people most of us couldn't even have a conversation with.

Thats how I choose to look at it today.
In my eyes it's usually the people who have been
through something like an addiction or something traumatic that
can convert more people to Christ then someone who hasn't.
I mean isn't it obvious?

lets say you are addicted to crack..
do you want to talk to someone who has no clue what thats like
or would you rather have someone who has been
through that situation and can tell you how Jesus saved them?

My point is this...don't judge what someone has done
in their life or what they are doing.
Our job is not to judge... it is to love,
We should be reaching outside the church, outside of the people
who know of God, We should be trying to pick up the lost...
Don't sit around and wait for your "church" to lend a helping hand,
Go out and you yourself lend a hand. There is plenty of people
on the streets of America who need help, who need Jesus Christ.
You don't have to thump the bible on people, you don't even have
to preach and try and convert people, just show the love of Christ..
buy a homeless guy some food, just show you actually care
for someone. I mean just starting a convo with someone
who looks down and out can mean the world to them.
If Christ is in you, you shouldn't have to speak about it,
because a person will sense him In you, and if
Jesus wants you to speak to someone about him then he will
speak through you.... you need not worry about what you will say...

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship
with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves
and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,
he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and
purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:7-9
