The Fall of Lucifer

The Bible has a couple of places where it talks about..

Lucifer/The Devil/Satan, there's not alot of focus obviously on him..

but we can get the general Idea of how he use to be,

and why exactly he was cast out of heaven.

How you have fallen from heaven,

O morning star(Lucifer), son of the dawn!

You have been cast down to the earth,

you who once laid low the nations!

You said in your heart,

"I will ascend to heaven;

I will raise my throne above the stars of God;

I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly

on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;

I will make myself like the most high.

But you are brought down to the grave,

to the depths of the pit.

Isaiah 14:12-14

You were the model of perfection,

full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

You were in Eden, the garden of God;

every precious stone adorned you:

ruby,topaz and emerald,chrysolite,onyx and jasper,

sapphire,turquoise and beryl. Your settings

and mountings were made of gold;

on the day you were created they were prepared.

You were anointed as a guardian cherub,

for so I ordained you.

You were on the holy mount of God;

you walked among the fiery stones,

you were blameless in your ways

from the day you were created

till wickedness was found in you.

Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence,

and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from

the mount of God,

and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,

from among the fiery stones.

Your heart became proud on account of your beauty,

and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.

Ezekiel 28:12-17

Inevitably talking about Lucifer falling from heaven

brings up the question...

"Do Angels have free-will? and if they have it,

and this "Lucifer" was so wise, then why would he try and become God,

knowing full well that God created him in the first place?"

Obviously angels were given free-will otherwise

Satan would have never had the choice to turn against God.

From those scriptures it would seem he became "Proud"..

which if you look up proud in the dictionary it says:

"feeling self-respect or pleasure in something by which

you measure your self-worth; or being a reason for pride."

Reading into those scriptures, and how he became

proud on account of his beauty,

the only way to take that would be he was prideful ..

meaning...

"having or showing arrogant superiority to and disdain

of those one views as unworthy"

Lucifer was the most beautiful angel..

he was the most wise, he was second to God,

and his ego got out of control..

he wanted to make himself higher then the Almighty.

Which in my eyes, I'm thinking..

"How freakin stupid can you be?

God created you, and yet somehow you think you can be more

powerful then him?"

it just doesn't make much sense to me,

It says though in Ezekiel..that his wisdom was corrupted,

so obviously because he became so prideful of himself

that it clouded his judgement.

and there was war in heaven.

Michael and his angels fought against the dragon,

and the dragon and his angels fought back.

But he was not strong enough, and they lost

their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down

that ancient serpent called the devil or satan,

who leads the whole world astray.

Revelation 12:7

What, you may ask, does this have to do with us?

satan wants payback, and he walks through the earth

as I speak.. seeking to devour whomever he can.

"Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls

around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

1 Peter 5:8

Satan knows he can't touch God,

and the only way he can hurt God..

is to attack Gods greatest creation...

the creation he loves most, and that would be US.

Satan is jealous that God could love such imperfection..

such filth and sin. He's going to take as many

of us away from God as he can.

Some may question then..

"Well then why did God create Satan if he knew he would

just turn out like this?"

It really comes down to... freewill

Satan/Lucifer/The Devil is pretty much the embodiment

of free-will, he was the first to choose not to worship God,

He was the one who whispered lies and tricked Eve

to eat of the forbidden fruit introducing Sin to human kind.

God doesn't want us to be mindless zombies,

you have a choice to worship him or not..

you can choose to reject him altogether just as Satan did.

I've recently come across a fantastic series of books

called "The chronicles of Brothers" by Wendy Alec..

the first in the series is called "The fall of Lucifer"..

It's fiction but it is surrounded and based off of truth,

and the word of God, obviously it being fiction

it probably didn't happen like the author wrote it..

but it is a brilliant book.

I've recently finished the first book, and I was amazed

just how much I loved the story.

Wendy Alec, for those who do not know

is the creator, along with her husband, of GodTv

and I'm not even a fan of the channel..

but thank God one night I stumbled upon it,

and there was Wendy talking about her book,

and I was like

"hmm..that sounds like an interesting book"

so I went ahead and ordered it from her site,

and I was a little scared to tell you the truth..

because I'm not a huge fan of "Christian fiction"

and I figured it being something off of Godtv(no offense)

it had to be cheesy and dull..

needless to say it was far from it!

I'm serious when I say this is up there with Lord of the rings..

or Chronicles of Narnia...

I guess Wendy wanted this idea of hers

"The Chronicles of Brothers"

to be a trilogy of movies much like Lord of the Rings,

but it never got off the ground, so she ended up writing the books,

and I guess since the first two are so popular..

(Third one comes out later this year)

it's going to become a trilogy of movies.

After reading just the first one(Working on the second),

I can honestly say..

this could be made into such an awesome movie.

I just hope it's not totally turned into crap

like the Chronicles of Narnia was....

which I have high hopes it wont be because

Wendy mentioned Batman begins and Lord of the rings

when she was comparing what she wanted the movie to be like.

If you would like to get a copy of these books

or would just like to know more about it,

and why wouldn't you?

Click here---> Chronicles of brothers

here's a sample of the book in video form..

God bless..
