Goodness to Repentance

The goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance...
Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness,
tolerance and patience, not realizing that
God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
Romans 2:4
Our God is patient with us,
just more proof of how much he loves each and
everyone of us. Nobody could really blame him..
if when we sinned, he just said..
"Alright...I gave you a chance you knew right from wrong,
now i'm through with you"
Some people think he's like that, I promise you
he is far from that, and yes he is a loving God..
but at the same time he is a jealous God,
and he wants to be the center of your life...
If you are putting money/worry/stress/yourself ect..
if you are putting anything above God..
He's going to let you know it..
He wants all the attention, and the glory that he deserves.

The fact is we are suppose to be growing in Spirit...
not remaining in a comfortable zone

When I was a child, I talked like a child,
I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
1 Corinthians 13:11

God is going to let you know if there's something
you need to repent for,
and sometimes he may have to be firm,
like a parent would be with a child who just doesn't listen..
but never will he totally lose hope in you,
never will he leave your side, and just say;
"AHH! this person is hopeless...I showed them over,
and over again and yet they still don't listen!"
God wants you to grow..
so he will show you the things you need to change
in order to do so.
Everyone has their flaws, we all have things we would
like to be better at or things we wish we didnt do.

God "will give to everyone according to what
they have done."
To those who by persistence
in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality,
he will give eternal life.
But for those who are self-seeking
and who reject the truth and follow evil,
there will be wrath and anger"
Romans 2:6

By being persistence in doing good?
persistence/persisting means:

"To be obstinately repetitious, insistent, or tenacious.
To hold firmly and steadfastly to a purpose, state,
or undertaking despite obstacles, warnings, or setbacks"

Some people think,as i've stated before,
that you become a Christian, and you never screw up..
you're all "holier then thou" and blah blah...
that's a load of crap,
because you will still screw up and you will still sin,
which is why Christ died on the cross for us.
But we are suppose to be persistent in doing good...
meaning we will be beatin down...we will fall...
but every time we have to stand back up and fight.
We are not only in a battle with the devil
but with our own fleshly desires...
we are soldiers on the front line, and when
things get crazy and everything around us
comes crashing down, and those bullets
of trouble and worry and stress and anger
come piercing by us, and even hit us from time to time...
we have to stand back up.
You know what makes it easy?
GOD! he will help us up every single time...

I heard this from a much wiser man then myself,
but God didn't put you and me here to suffer..
He didn't put us here so we can keep screwing
up and then feel guilty and ashamed and hate ourselves.
All God wants is our trust in him,
with him all things are possible right?
does he not give us our strength?
can he not take away any struggle we are going through?
rely on him!you and him together can do all things!
You want to stop a sin? you want to stop doing drugs?
you want to stop drinking?
Obviously you ask God for help,
but it is going to take effort on your part aswell..
not only to allow him to take it away and put your
trust in him....but to know that YOU
don't need that fix....
Don't need that drink...ect ect..
all you need is God,
and he is waiting..
not with disappointment..
not with an angry scowl..
He is waiting with open arms...
waiting to give you a loving embrace
and will never want you to leave him.

He doesn't lose hope in you...
Don't lose hope in him.
